Do you think of yourself as an artist?

If you’ve already decided that you’re NOT an artist, it’s worth considering why you may have made that decision and what it might take to unmake it.

And, if you’ve announced to yourself that you have no particular talent, then maybe you’re really just hiding.

Art is not something that hangs on a wall.  Art is not exclusive to some gallery or forever ensconced in a museum.

It’s the way we make the bed.  It’s how we say just the right thing, when it’s needed.  It’s packing all that stuff into a bag.  It’s arranging food on a plate. Putting a flower in a vase.  It’s appreciating a book, loving a movie.  It’s getting dressed.

Art is what we do when we’re truly alive.

Art isn’t a thing.  It’s the process, the journey.

The challenge of our time is to see ourselves as the artist in motion, finding the journey that’s worthy of our hearts and souls.
