SUPER MOON..Super Reminder

Did you see the moon last night? SO HUGE. SO BRIGHT.

It won’t be back to see us like that again until 2034!

So, it got me to thinking.

My brain seems to take some unusual thought walks. Tonight walked right into an old hymn I’ve loved all my life:

HE’S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS

He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands

He’s got the itty bitty babies in His hands
He’s got the itty bitty babies in His hands
He’s got the itty bitty babies in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands

He’s got you and me brother in His hands
He’s got you and me brother in His hands
He’s got you and me brother in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands

He’s got you and me sister in His hands
He’s got you and me sister in His hands
He’s got you and me sister in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands

He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands

The origins of this song have been credited to slaves, to Native Americans, and itself, is surrounded in controversy about copyrights and authorship. But it’s words couldn’t be more true.

At a time when our country seems to be divided, when our lives seem to be sped up to the breaking point in many cases, it takes a super moon to remind us who’s really in charge.
